| INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Being a missionary pilot is a very challenging task.
Many years of training and preparation — sometimes even abroad — are necessary for pilots to be equipped to fly safely and with excellence on runways built in hard-to-reach places.
Lauro Pasquini is an example of how becoming a missionary pilot requires a lot of study and preparation.
Recently, Lauro went to the USA to receive both practical and theoretical training, preparing to become an advanced flight instructor.
The training was conducted by the team of one of our partner missions, JAARS.
Lauro Pasquini shares more details:
"The JAARS instructors are excellent. It was a blessing!
I spent a month being trained in leadership (communication, teamwork, engaging with new generations) and flight instruction, learning from very experienced pilots and leaders.
My airfare and flight hour costs were covered by generous donations from brothers and sisters in Christ.
I flew with a flight instructor who worked in Indonesia for many years, including as chief pilot of the team. It was a time of great learning and new challenges.
I’m very grateful to JAARS, which through its partnership with Asas de Socorro has greatly blessed the Kingdom of God and supported the missionary aviation work being done in Brazil.
I’m very thankful to be part of this missionary work, which is supported by brothers and sisters from many places and blesses those living in the most remote areas.”
It’s a blessing to have you with us too, supporting our mission and our missionary flights.
| WE SAW YOUR SMILE, WE HEARD YOUR PRAISE!
Cida Oliveira is a missionary with Asas de Socorro and the leader of the children’s ministry during mission trips. She tells Bible stories to children, listens to the stories of the riverside communities, and prays with the sick and needy.
Cida shares that on a recent trip to the communities, she met a woman who had recently lost her son to drowning after an epileptic seizure in the river.
“The mother was very sad, but in our circle of conversation and songs of praise, we saw her smile, and we heard her praise. It was a blessing from the Lord.”
In the midst of sorrow, God brings comfort and sends His servants to speak words of hope.
As Cida tells us, during the time in the communities, “we always have many opportunities to pray, bringing hope to the suffering and the sick.
God is good all the time, helping those in need in hard-to-reach places.
The grace of Jesus moves us deeply.”
Praise the Lord!

| ON THE WINGS OF PRAYER
"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." — Psalm 34:8
We give thanks to God for His infinite goodness and faithfulness.
He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end of all things.
We ask the Lord to continue working in us, through us, and on our behalf.
May we be useful instruments in His hands, faithfully fulfilling the purpose to which we were called.

We need your prayer support:
PRAY for aircraft undergoing maintenance and for missionary operations;
PRAY for the riverside communities being reached through boat missions;
PRAY for the health, wisdom, training, and protection of all the missionaries and volunteers;
PRAY for the national gathering hosted by Asas de Socorro from May 19–22, bringing together missionaries from all operational bases.
Prayer is essential sustenance on our journey and draws us close to the Father.
Thank you for interceding with us and on our behalf.
