July 2025 Bulletin – Asas de Socorro

📖 "One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts." Psalm 145:4

✝️ This verse reminds us that what we do today goes far beyond what is visible — it is a seed planted of God's love and eternity with Christ for the next generation.

In every flight, maintenance, and navigation; in every service or prayer; in every post, call, or promotion; in every spreadsheet or welcoming moment; in every plan or decision — we are building a living testimony of God's faithfulness and eternalizing memories of His great deeds!

What we carry is not just a mission — it’s a legacy. And it grows stronger each time we serve, because our work is part of something greater. We are a generation that has witnessed the works of God — and we have the responsibility and privilege of proclaiming, through our lives and service, that the Lord continues to act powerfully.

Thank you for being part of this. May our commitment to the mission remain strong, and may we never lack obedience and faith to keep telling, living, and proclaiming the greatness of our God to the generations.

With gratitude and joy,

Braulio Filho – Chairman of the Board

| COMMUNICATION AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Dear brothers and mission partners,

These past weeks have been filled with precious encounters, as we had the joy of receiving two groups of children at our Hangar in Anápolis — one from the Presbyterian Church and the other from the “Semear Project.” It was a very special time of worship, missionary stories, and contact with the airplanes, moments that will surely plant seeds in the hearts of this generation.

Our digital reach also continues to grow! In June, the Asas de Socorro Instagram account maintained its average of over 100,000 accounts reached. We continue to celebrate the power of communication to inspire, inform, and involve more people in the missionary work of Asas de Socorro.

Ongoing Campaigns:

  • Giving Wings – aims to raise funds to support missionary and humanitarian flights.

  • Manaus – focuses on funding social and transformative projects in the region.

  • School – to support the technical and spiritual training of our student missionaries at the Aviation School.

January to May:

We have already received 50% of all planned resources for the entire year. This is a clear testimony of God's faithfulness and the generosity of our supporters! It is worth remembering: the strategic goals from 2020 were met 100% last year! What a reason for praise!

April:

  • 285 people signed up for missionary trips.

  • 16 people applied to begin the candidacy process as missionaries with the organization.

All of this is the result of mobilization, prayers, and the faithful sowing of each partner. Thank you for being part of this!

Please continue praying for:

  • New sponsors and supporters.

  • Strength and wisdom for our team, especially amidst the high demand.

  • The right people to join the team — we are still looking for collaborators and volunteers for strategic areas.

"The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it." (Psalm 24:1)

We trust He will continue to provide, guide, and use this mission for His glory.

With gratitude,

Victor Scarparo Torres – Superintendent of Fundraising and Communication

🎯A Privilege to Serve with Excellence!

Today I’d like to pause and acknowledge something that deeply motivates us: the joy of serving the Lord through the Administrative Leadership. Yes, it may seem like a backstage department… but who said the backstage isn’t essential for missions?

I have the privilege of working with a committed team that goes the extra mile every day to ensure everything runs with excellence, care, and responsibility.

In IT, we have Guilherme, our manager, who does an outstanding job keeping systems running, managing digital security, and ensuring technology serves the mission.

In Finance, Ludy and Adriana make a well-coordinated team handling payments, financial routines, and daily details with precision and dedication.

In Accounting, Jéssica looks after every entry, report, and number with admirable care, always attentive and willing.

In Tax, Miridiam diligently monitors all processes, ensuring the compliance and transparency we highly value.

And in the Human Resources Department, we are blessed with Patrícia, Andreia, and Matilde, women who, with wisdom and sensitivity, take care of processes, events, and especially the people who make everything work.

In special moments and seasons of our Mission, we also rely on an event organization team — and how can we not be thankful to our Family conference organizing committee? With dedication, they made everything cozy and beautiful, making our event more than special.

Working with a team like this makes the work light, because we know we are serving the Lord in every task. As Colossians 3:23 says: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

We are thankful for each one who is part of this team. May God continue to equip us to manage with wisdom and reverence, always remembering that our work is a form of worship.

Lucélia Rodrigues – Superintendent of Administration

| AVIATION OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

✈️Sharing a bit of what God has done through aviation operations:

The floatplane stationed in Porto Velho, continues operating regularly.

On the 10th day of this month, a flight was carried out to the village of the Deni people, transporting a Bible translator. We are planning to bring about 50 indigenous people from the region to participate in the Complei conference, which will be held in August in Porto Velho.

Cesar, Milton, Denis, and Lauro were in Macapá inspecting the R&B aircraft. Denis will stay an extra week in the region to carry out flights in partnership with Aliança Esperança.

Meanwhile, LOO is undergoing upgrades. With proceeds from IPJ sales, we will install an autopilot for the aircraft, which will allow instrument flights (IFR), significantly increasing the viability of operations under adverse weather conditions.

We are also hosting a group of 8 aviation students and their leader from California Baptist University for an exchange program. They will head to the Porto Velho Base before returning to the U.S.

We continue to trust in the One who guides every step. Thank you for your prayers and partnership — together, we keep taking the love of Christ to the most remote places.

Jacob Anderson – Superintendent of Operations

AERONAUTICAL WORKSHOP – AVIATION SCHOOL

⚙️ In recent months, many have followed the maintenance of the ZMB aircraft from Aliança de Esperança Mission.

After many hours of overtime, including weekend work, Mike Bravo finally flew again, and flew very well! The engine performed at full power, and the new instruments functioned perfectly.

After a few flights, only minor adjustments were needed for the instruments and to contain some leaks. It was finally ready to return to Macapá.

Bravo will not be missed in the workshop due to the intense effort needed to restore it, but it taught us a lot and showed how much we still need to grow in technical capacity and proficiency.

For the Asas Workshop, this is not a discouragement, but an opportunity to serve the Kingdom of God.

In addition to the work on Aliança de Esperança’s aircraft, the workshop continues to serve the mission. This month, we have one team in Anápolis and another at the Boa Vista base conducting double maintenance:

Overhaul of the PR-ZMB, which served in Amapá and is now ready for its first review since leaving Anápolis a few weeks ago;

Overhaul of the PR-EIB, which left Boa Vista last month and spent time supporting other mission projects in northern Brazil.

May the Lord use, equip, strengthen, and bring our mechanics back in peace and safety!

Let’s go, workshop team! 💪🏻

The Asas de Socorro School continues to pray for the sale of the CVR, aiming to acquire a new aircraft category that should significantly reduce training costs for missionary pilots.

Please pray with us so the Lord will show us the best path forward.

In the meantime, the School remains active, conducting license renewal flights for external pilots.

Recently, we resumed flights with an external student who is about to complete the private pilot course.

As for the internal students, they remain committed to their studies, awaiting a decision from ANAC regarding the return of the Technical Knowledge Certificate (CCT) exams, which are essential for training mechanics and pilots.

The Lord is always in control. 🙏🏻

Fabiano Muchiutti – Superintendent of the School and Workshop

| And so we continue serving, loving, obeying... rejoicing in the hope and future that God has for our Mission.

With gratitude,

Asas de Socorro Team
